Collezioni Close Up: Men Outer Wear Milan/ Paris - 2 Issues - 1 Year

Product Description

Men?s fashions for Summer 2011 presented during Pitti Immagine in Florence and at the Milan and Paris catwalk shows use Outerwear to live out the icons of the past and the garments made famous by their cult movies. There is not a jacket or a parka or a blouson that does not make a comeback, albeit tailored to today?s sensibilities with lighter weights and cleaner lines. Not just the vintage garments of famous film characters, but also Outdoor garments act as spokesmen for increasingly ecological and hi-tech materials and fabrics, treated to create new tactile and optical effects. The safari jacket, above all, is the expression of this new trend, in which the real difference is the softness of the materials and a destructured line for greater freedom of movement. Generally speaking, jackets are slimmer, shorter and lighter; blue and white striped or checked double-breasted jackets are extremely elegant for a country-navy style. The navy theme is enhanced both by full denim jackets, veritable work uniforms for seafarers, and by jackets with wooden toggles treated to look brine corroded. Jacket proposals are many and varied, but they all of them refer to the world of sport. For example, those in stretch nylon have a crushed leather effect. The crucial details are zip fastenings and subtly padded shoulders so that the overall effect is a snug fitting garment. Neither are studded leather jackets able to resist the historical reference, hence black leather rocker jackets appear worn, decorated with tattoo graphics on the back, while brown nappa leather shirt-tailored jackets are very supple and feature uneven effects for a worn look, such as those by Gucci. And lastly, for spring, the mandatory trench coat, mac or ¾-length duster coat, the true passe-partout both in the most classic version with double button fastening and in the new knitted version by Jean Paul Gaultier. images: more than 800
