Music and Art - One perpetually inspires the other. As I've worked on this album over the past four years, I've been inspired by my father's beautiful award winning landscape photography. In some instances, the art drove me to write a particular song. And in others, the music came first and inspired the photograph. Much like how a soundtrack accompanies a film to evoke an emotional response from the viewer - the music of this album accompanies a series of breathtaking photographs taken from the Pacific Northwest down to the California coastline. Illumination is all about light, empowerment, and goodness. The camera is an instrument created by mankind that physically captures light.
